Just a late casual question.

How much disk space does Macrumors occupy? Currently (00:40 GMT) there are - Threads: 195,941, Posts: 2,368,467, Members: 72,464. All of the uploaded images etc?

Any figures/graphs as to how it has grown over the years?

I'd be interested in an answer from Doctor Q or another god with direct access to the info.

My guess is somewhere around 5 GB.

OK. I'll see your 20 GB and raise you 80 GB (excuse me for this - I don't play poker) ..... I reckon a total of about 100GB?

I am going to say 25GB i believe. However it may be a lot higher. I am just going on a forums space. Not the buyer's guide and the guides themselves. which probably don't add much.

18.7GB....no, that number's not random...lol.
1.21 gigawatts? 1.21 gigawatts? Great Scott!

Oh, wait, misread your number....

I'm not sure how 18.7GB is not random. Who do you know? ;)

You have to remember the 1000s of photos logged in all the threads, all the images needed to make the site work, all the 70000 accounts+.... I mean its alot.

Wouldn't doubt if it was 20gb.

i'm gonna say 100-200 GBs... all the picture threads...esp the (name of month desktop thread... that must take a lot up, plus all the avatars...

18gigz.....wait..what again?

No, no, MacRumors. Not your pr0n collection! ;) :D

Mmmm, so I don't know how big MR is, but somewhere I'm sure there are six or seven people who are really angry about the difference between its size in gigabytes of 10^9 bytes each and in gigabytes of (1024)^3 bytes each.
