How much space does windows 8.1 use up?

I made a 20GB bootcamp drive and windows shows 5.6GB free does it really take that much space or did the install not go right?

Did you disable hibernation and shrink your pagefile? That frees up a bunch of space, especially if you have 16 GB of RAM.

I do have 16GB of RAM, no I did not alter any settings, can you point me in the right direction to do that?

Disable hibernation

Adjust pagefile size. I set mine to a minimum of 1024 (kb) and a maximum of 2048.

my DVD i made from ISO file worked the first time, now it geting an unexpected error at 91% I tried 5 times last night, should I try and remake the DVD or could this be something else?
