hmm I basically gonna use it for programs that don't work with mac (like Maple Story, Counter Strike, etc)
I was thinking on 10Gb... out of them it will be like 2Gb for the Windows itself... do you think its enough or you would recommend more?

XP only needs 1.5G, so a 10Gpartition will give you about 7~8G for apps.
at least 500MB free space is necessary for system to run smoothly.

if you think you can survive with about 7gb of application space, then you should be fine with it, assuming that it meets your needs for it.

you wouldn't be able to use vista on that small of a partition though, because (although I'm not sure on all the specifics of the different versions of Vista), I am quite certain that at least the premium version is around 7+gb for the installation of the operating system

For my XP, I gave it 16GB. For what I use it for, I now realize I was being overly generous. Windows doesn't deserve that much. (But I wanted a power of 2, and 8 didn't seem like enough! I know, I know, I'm such an OCD nerd!)
