Resolved How much space should the OS take up?

I installed Windows 7 with SP1 integrated (x64) today on a 32GB Bootcamp partition. When I checked how much free space was left, I only have 13.7 GB free. How is this possible? Does Windows really take up 12-15 GB of space?
