my emails usually gets around 200-300 a day, my spam filter doesnt help much :(

I hate spam. Mail tends to filter most of mine out, as that's how I read my email. But some things do get through. So, based on the things that get through, I get about 3-5 useless emails a day.

I set up a few e-mail addresses so that I can use one of them for public use. My yahoo address gets hundres of spam and I usually delete them all even without looking at them. I think George Bush has to nuke those spammers to ashes (more productive way to use public money to get rid of spammers who wast my (and other tax payers') time to delete their messages) or levy high fines so that their grand kids will need to pay off. Sorry for the radical idea..... I just detest and hate those spammers.

I'm going to eat my words for saying this (I'm sure.... give it a day) but not a LOT... I'm more careful about what I sign up for than I used to be. However, I go and check my old e-mail box every month or so and empty crap out... about 1000 spams a month?

My primary mail (Gmail) gets about 50 a day, it's my fault though. I signed up for a couple of newsletters and didn't realize it was a spam house. I get at least 15 emails a day from one company (different spoofed email addys) that offers software downloads for a fraction of the retail cost. XP Pro is only $70, Office is $30, PhotoShop $100. Just for kicks I visited the website and started the check out process. It clearly states you cannot register the software with the manufacture. Did someone say pirated?? I'm surprised with all the Spam they send they haven't been shut down yet by MS & Adobe for piracy.

Then I get the Paypal phishing messages, and several in Japanese.

Hurrah for my ISP and their spam filter! They've made a great song and dance about how it will ensure that I, as one of their valued customers, receive the bare minimum of spam. I know all about this filter because they told me about it in the unsolicited junk 'e-newsletter' they insist on emailing me...

I tend to give out unique emails anytime I fill out a web form, so at least then I know who's leaking it; and I can cancel that address if need be.

It still doesn't prevent me receiving emails to lengthen my penis and to grow my breasts on the same day.. if they're trying to tell me something, I don't want to know.

In one job, there was a rift in the company and someone who left then signed up every other employee onto spam lists. It was pretty obvious given that the spam was being sent to our company and no one else!

I get 2 or 3 spam messages a week. I never post my real email address online. I usually put in bogus info like a@a.com. If you are the owner of that email, I apologize.
