How much time before I can recycle an AppleID email login?

Example:

Apple ID #1 was email@gmail.com but was changed to email2@gmail.com

How long do I have to wait until I can use email@gmail.com as the login for Apple ID #2, now that I've removed its association with Apple ID #1?
