i have a mb pro 2014 retina..it was water damaged because my brother spilled water on it ..im just wondering how much would a repair cost?? he tried to open it twice it was working but shuts down immediately .. the mac is not reading its battery but the keyboard is still working as he said apple repaired my laptop before the start of 2016 the problem was the trackpad doesn't work at all and the keyboard sometimes doesnt work it was for around 250$ i can't just take my laptop to other repair shop because in my country most of the time they won't repair it properly and they will take some parts as well so i can only take it to apple authorized centers which makes it a little more expensive
If I am not mistaken, Apple offers a flat depot repair fee ($310.00) for out of warranty Macs. Whether they will do that in your case (with user damage) I don't know. It is worth asking about though.
Good to know. I put a good dent on the keyboard of my early 2011 MBP 15" rendering the SuperDrive useless (all keys still work, thankfully)... $310 is a lot, but better than $2000+ for a new one.
Yeah, except there're another countries besides the US or Japan in the world And no, even if it was available, same conditions as for the regular warranty apply (no accidental damage etc)
My late 2013 rMBP 15 had two white spots on the screen and only visible on white page. I have AppleCare, the Apple store replaced the entire of panel. It was $750 and covered by AppleCare.
im not from us or japan so i think mine would sadly be more expensive if only i could trust other technicians in this country
