for the top models you need to go above £300 in the UK ,why ?
because below you usually get only Powerbooks that are a bit rotten , with dents ,scratches , non working ram slots, totally scratched displays , HDD's on its last legs , hinges broken ,airport not working ,usb ports not working, batteries dead , batteries cant be charged even new ones as the dc board is dead or the logicboard is dead ...and those are still sold for above £200 here in the Uk people go Mad if they see a Apple logo and some really pay any price here in the UK as New Mac's cost more then in the USA too , so obviously the used prices are higher too
and then there are those:
"does not boot and i dont know why as i know nothing about Mac's "
then hands away from the bidding button or buy it now button , as thats the common excuse of somebody who bought it and has found out that a repair would cost more then a new MacBook pro
buying a PowerBook or even iBook on
ebay UK needs time time time and more time to find the right one thats really worth buying
if i would be you i would look for the 15" 1.5ghz model that just on offer , its near perfect for £350, but be quick before i change my mind and buy it myself as it has a new logicboard too and only a tiny scratch near the dvi port
