How much would Apple charge to replace the upper case of a 2012 MBP?

Hey all,

So I'm wondering if anyone has an idea as to how much Apple would charge to replace the main body of my 2012 15" non-Retina MBP? It has a couple of dents and I'm thinking of selling it off, but would like to make it look as attractive as possible and get the most I can for it. Thanks.

Here's a suggestion that'll get you a clear cut answer: Call Apple, they'd know better than strangers on the internet that don't work for them.

I'm not trying to be snarky or anything, but if anyone knows, it's them.

I don't know for sure but, unless the top is REALLY battered, I would imagine it would cost more than you will be able to recoup from the better sale price.

I would have to agree with Snaky, you'll get a quicker (and accurate) answer by asking an Apple store.

If you are a 'do it yourself type'..

If you are capable, and have MORE Time then Money, here is the way to spend some of both.. It truly is not that difficult, if you have Good Tools and are Careful _ They sell the Upper Case for $189 here, link under 'Relevant Parts' _ and I suspect you might find one for ~$100 on ebay occasionally too..
