If you really care about price, you wouldn’t be wasting your money on AppleCare+.Might as well just ask, "What's your net worth?"
For people that care about price AT ALL, the only Apple Watch worth getting is the basic aluminum model with AppleCare+ in case it breaks. It's a piece of tech, it's going to be useless within a few years regardless if you pay $400 or $1000.
Why buy one every year when the changes are typically marginal? I have a series 5 and haven’t seen a reason to “upgrade“
$1200-$1500 is fine. Apple needs to send a message. That the Pro is not for the proletatiat.
We're just a few days away from when Apple is expected to announce the Apple Watch "Pro," an entirely new Apple Watch explicitly designed for athletes and customers who want a more robust and durable Apple Watch.

The Apple Watch "Pro" has been described as a "rugged" Apple Watch that will feature a new design, a larger display and battery, and more durable materials to make it more suitable for athletes and those who are active. Those improvements won't come without an additional cost, however, with the new model priced above most versions in the current lineup.
The new Apple Watch will likely sit at the higher end of the Apple Watch lineup, likely replacing the Apple Watch Edition as the more expensive model in the lineup. To make things easier, we've put together a quick comparison chart comparing the Apple Watch Edition and the Apple Watch "Pro" below.
Apple Watch Series 7 Edition
- Case Material: Titanium
- Case Design: Rounded edges and curved display around the sides
- Sizes: 41mm or 45mm
- Display Material: Sapphire front crystals
- Health Features: ECG, Blood Oxygen, Heart Rate notifications
- Special Features: None
- Price: $799 - $849
Apple Watch 'Pro'
- Case Material: Stronger titanium alloy with improved impact resistance
- Case Design: "An evolution of the current rectangular shape," according to Bloomberg's Mark Gurman
- Sizes: 47-48mm with 7% larger display
- Display Materials: Improved crack and scratch resistance for athletes
- Health Features: ECG, Blood Oxygen, Heart Rate notifications, and body temperature sensor
- Special Features: Improved watchOS UI to show additional activity metrics thanks to the larger display

Yes it’s a disposable device. To make it “elite” Apple should intentionally build in self-destruction after 24 months to the day from purchase. Now that would give the Apple Watch truly “Unique” Status! Where’s the line? The problem with the Apple Watch is that it's a consumable accessory. If you use the watch every day, the battery degrades in about ~3 years to the point where it's barely, if even making it through your entire day.
I think the current price is the maximum I'm willing to pay for something that will need to be replaced in 3-4 years. If they somehow (they won't) engineered the battery to be easily swapped, maybe it would be a different conversation.
You don’t like the prices of the new AW Pro and you find trade in values to be “awful”. Why are you even an Apple consumer?Would LOVE to get a 47-48mm watch, but not at that price - trade in values for the AW are awful and you may as well give it away to family/friend or just keep it. So...come next year, maybe the 47-48mm will be in a Sport or even SS models(?), I'd rather have that at a lower price.
Off topic...I would love, need to see a "One More Thing" surprise like we did w/ AW in Sept. 2014.
We have the new phones, new watches...new Air Pods I think. At the end..with all these rumors for years about AR / Apple Glass. Give us that, I personally would love to see it even if it may be delayed.

As a dissatisfied and disinterested user—- Why are you even in this forum? to complain? The problem I am facing with my Apple Watch lately is that I am just too used to it now? Like I almost forget it is hanging on my wrist and thus I rarely interact with it anymore besides checking the time. I have also gotten numb to the haptic Feedback like somehow I don’t feel it anymore when I receive a notification.
watchOS also hasn’t really changed in 3 years besides additional watch faces

I'm not being cheap, I have 3 Rolex, 1 AP and a Cartier. These tech watch don't deserve such high prices.
So, sitting this cycle out I assume.Willing to pay whatever price as long Apple can make significant amount of changes and introduce ground breaking features.
I don't think the iPhone is a status symbol in most places. Maybe originally it was but now it is weird to not see multiple iPhones everywhere you go.The iphone is certainly not a status symbol here in the UK. Even people that don't work have them. They are very easy to obtain.
