I don't understand why anyone wants a YouTube app for the iPad just go to the website.
And also why do people use tapatalk just go to the website.
What's the advantage? All I see are disadvantages.

It's not possible to answer this question properly. It would all depend on the quality of the app and what it added compared to the mobile website.

To be honest, I would advise against investing anything at all in developing these apps unless you have something unique to offer. You can already use the web version for free and soon Google will release their own app. Unless you can offer something that Google can't you aren't going to create a sustainable business this way. Plus, if Google were to change their T&Cs you could be screwed.

Zero. I wouldn't say "I don't want it" but I'm not paying for it.

Subjective matter. If you don't see the advantage, don't use it. Others do.

Google Maps as they were on the iPhone before, without turn-by-turn are pretty much useless. Now if it had the functionality of the Android version, I would use it but still wouldn't pay for it.

They will eventually release it for free but it will always be a poor relation to their flagship app on Android. But good enough for the vast majority of users...

I'm skeptical if you can develop a better product than Apple or Google in the first place. Can you post a link to your website or somewhere showcasing the other apps you've developed?
