To all the people saying the screen protector got scratched so it saved your phone screen, remember that glass is much, much tougher than a plastic screen protector. You need something at least as tough as the gorilla glass on your phone (diamond for example, or sand if you're not careful) to scratch your screen.
Which is of course not true. You can scratch an iPhone screen with any pair of keys, pocketknife, or any assortment of things that might be in a bag with a phone. A screen protector adds a layer of protection so that these things do not happen.

Really...? Maybe the oleophobic coating, but that's not noticeable.

Gorilla glass is very durable to the finger use...I will get some carbon plate for the back ( iPhone 5 ) but not for the front. I had every single iPhone and I never scratch non of them.

I just bought a black and yellow special edition sleeve from Joli Originals. Probably not getting a screen protector.

My Ipad3 uses the upgraded Gorilla Glass 2 same as the Iphone 5, and there is a faint scratch that I don't ever notice when the screen is on but I see when the screen is off. The ipad has never gone through any significant trauma like a drop. Just inside a leather bag, at worst with headphones.

I think it depends on your own tolerance. I've never been able to scratch the glass so badly I had to repair the phone, but if bothers you to have any type of scratch at all on your device i would absolutely recommend a screen protector.

I went without protectors for a while because the trade-off between screen feel wasn't worth it to me, but with the new glass protector from SGP i'm back to using them.

I still wouldn't use a film protector, however.

I know that I am reselling my iphone every year to upgrade.

I want to keep everything as mint as possible, hence the protectors front, back and sides.

I did not worry about protectors on my 4, and I regretted it because the screen did have scuffs from having keys in my pocket just one time.

However going forward, I am going to buy these "glass" screen protectors. They are phenomenal.
