I am not sure if Apple fully tests their Oses before they are released but the next version of IOS 11 how do I not auto install it? I want to install only when I confirm it does not break working features. The last version of IOS broke WIFI Calling for Sprint users and it was only fixed when Sprint released a carrier update but it worked fine on the previous OS.

I just do not want the phone to auto install it when I sleep so how to turn this off? My phone is a tool not a toy. Plenty of companies run Windows 7 because 10 breaks equipment so I am tired of Apple breaking features with the latest versions of their operating systems.

The update can get auto downloaded (when you are on WiFi and plugged in into a power source), but it doesn't get installed without some user interaction (like saying yes to install it or to install it later if/when a prompt comes up asking about that).

If you want to avoid being asked, you can check your iPhone storage and delete the downloaded update if one gets downloaded. If you want to avoid even downloading one you can install a tvOS profile that would avoid that (which you can then easily uninstall if you want to get updates again).

Thanks for the quick reply. I think that as long as it does not auto-install I am happy. Just want to confirm it does not break working features that I use. The last os breaking WIFI Calling was a major problem.

Assuming you're a developer, you can install the tvOS beta profile onto your iOS device and it will block all future updates. It won't even show up in the software update screen when you go to check for updates.

Well you don't have to be a developer exactly to get the profile.
