Does frequent case change affect the built/structural integrity of the phone? My Xs Max made a creaking sound after 10 months which I attribute to frequent changing of cases especially those sturdy ones like speck and UAG.

Each scenario is going to be different so it’s hard to give an absolute. I wouldn’t imagine so but I really am not sure.

I really doubt changing cases has anything at all to do with the phone creaking. I've had my xs max since launch and I change cases nearly every week, sometimes multiple times in one day. I've never once notice my phone "creaking".

I’ve had an Apple leather case on my SE since 2016, and an Apple leather case on my 7 since 2017. I take them off every few months to clean out anything that might have gotten in there, but other than that they live in them.

How are your cases holding up (durability wise) can you post pics of case.?

I usually get a new case every year and I usually replace my device every two years. My Spigen Ultra Hybrid clear case definitely needed to be replaced after a year because it turned yellow but my Apple leather case is looking great after a years use..

I've been very pleased with them over the years. The SE case is going into year 4 of constant, daily use. This case shows plenty of wear, particularly around the bottom edge where the small bridge over the lightning connector fell off in early 2019 and the edges where it's taken a few hits, but it's kept the phone inside safe and snug and the phone itself shows no damage. While it looks a bit gnarly, realize that this case was used in industrial environments while I ran networking cables through factories and office ceilings, and has been used in a middle school classroom for the last two and a half years after that.

I've been similarly pleased with the 7; going on year 3, it shows a little less wear, likely because I use the 7 less than I do the SE and I've dropped it fewer times. Still, it's holding up super well for a few years, and I'm quite happy with my purchase of it.

Honestly, although it looks a little rough on the outside, the inside is still in perfect shape, it still fits snugly, and it protects the phone perfectly fine. I haven‘t bothered to repplace it because it’s just going to keep getting beat up, and Apple doesn’t make their leather cases for the SE any longer :(

I usually only change cases either when I get a new phone or my case cracks. Don't usually switch if it's working or I like it.

Ive never had the creaking sound on any iPhone I’ve owned (6 plus, 7 plus, X and 11 pro). I do swap out my cases on a regular basis. Ive had issues with creaking sounds on my previous owned smart phones (blackberry 9000, HTC Desire, HTC sensation)
