Just wondering how often people change their bands, and secondarily, why? Do you switch from a Milanese loop to Nike Sport Band to go running or workout, pick that perfect color match for your outfit, or ???

I chose "weekly", but usually I wear the same band for months. I only have a bit over a dozen and I really prefer the Nike Sport Loops so I usually wear the Hyper Grape or the Berry Blast.

Multiple times per day, but usually only once per day. I find myself switching watches now too, thanks to a certain someone who doesn't want to be mentioned outside of one or two threads. This morning alone I started out with a Close Your Rings sport loop, switched to Light Gray for a bit, went to Royal Pulse/Black, then wore Red G1 for a few minutes, only to settle on Sunset LL until I go to bed. That's far more than average, though. If I have somewhere to be, I usually put on one band in the morning, wear it all day, then switch to a classic buckle/leather loop/link bracelet to add a touch of fancy to my otherwise middle-class life.

I guess it all really depends on the day and the setting.

The versatility is so nice. You can dress up or dress down a AW just with a 30 second band swap. I was wearing one band for a whole day or week, for workouts & everything. Even though the Nike Sport Loops must be made to endure a sweaty environment I still don't like the thought of soaking them each day, so I might swap to the OEM black band for whatever workout I do.

I have a fairly casual yet kinda stylish NATO style band from Clockwork Synergy that will probably end up being my "dressy" band. So far Sport Loops are my go-to band though. Soooo comfortable and good looking too.

I still have the original i purchased the watch with. Also have one of the rainbow employee pride (prior to them releasing one for sale to public) but that was for a 44 watch 0 series and I now have the smaller 40mm

I don’t have any schedule to change the bands as such. Most of the times it’s on the Nike sports band, but I change it up sometimes to match my outfit. I also change the watch face mostly when I change the bands.

I chose multiple times per day, but sometimes only once per day. I choose one to match what I'm wearing in the morning. If I'm going to the office (which happens more often again now) I'll change band when I get home and change clothes. I might also change Watch then also. I'll also match to what I'm wearing if I got for a bike ride and then again too whatever I wear afterward.

For me to wear the same band all the time it would need to "go" with everything, or at least not look bad with anything, but that would mean it has to be a fairly neutral. I really enjoy wearing a bright band that works with my clothing, and I've bought shirts to go with bands as well as bands ti go with shirts.

I also change band / Watch for sleep but that tends to be more about managing battery life and I just wear whatever band was last on the Watch I sleep in, assuming it was a Sport of some sort rather than leather or metal.

I am utterly surprised at these results.
I've worn my series 3 on my Nike band since Day 1 and besides the weekly cleaning (washing it with soap) I've never changed it yet - I feel boring o_O. Multiple changes per day? I wouldn't even know which other band to get.

Me too!

I understand that not everyone thinks and behaves just like me, but I am really surprised at how often people change the bands.

I have never removed the band from my AW and never felt the need to. Actually, a few weeks ago someone asked me how to remove the bands on the AW and if it could be done quickly, and I had to think for a few seconds on how to do it.

Multiple changes per day?
Yeah, I get slightly annoyed when I have to take off my watch for a shower or to charge it. Changing bands multiple times a day just seems like a lot of maintenance to me.

Not knocking it at all, as I am sure that many other would find my hobbies to be strange or uninteresting, but changing the band so often just isn't me.

I've never changed it yet - I feel boring
Maybe not boring, just different. Maybe you are like me and you think of your Apple Watch as an utilitarian accessory, while it appears many others treat it as a fashion accessory.

Is it easy to change the band? I'm a newbie!
Yep!

Keep in mind this is a poll on a sub forum filled mostly with watch band enthusiasts. I enjoy being able to give my watch a different look by changing my band regularly. But, even though the poll results say otherwise, I recognize I am well in the minority on that. Nobody else I know who has an Apple Watch changes their band more than once in a while, if at all.

The problem is the sample of people here is skewed heavily in the direction changing bands (because what would be the point of having a collection otherwise?). This is similar to how other polls on this site will show people really care about things like how much RAM is in an iPhone, which is definitely not the case for the average consumer. I think if you took a broader poll of Apple Watch owners, you would probably find that a sizable majority are like yourselves and rarely/never change their band.

There’s nothing wrong with either choice. It’s all personal preference!

I think my hisband wishes I was happy with one band 😂 I have way too many and most are from Apple. ( I will say I have bought a lot new in box off E bay) I can't wait to order the new braided one. Just waiting to figure out my size

I have 20 + bands .... almost an equal mix of sport loop and Nike.

I wear the loops for day to day casual and work. I use the Nike for gym and exercise. I exercise daily so change the band at least once per day.

:)

With over 130 bands (all OEM) I have to change daily to justify owning so many bands. But I have been wearing my new braided band for 3 days now without changing. I want to make sure I love it within my 14-day return window. So I will be wearing it for 2 weeks and then I will go back to changing daily
