I already have a nice collection of iPhone 12 Pro Max cases building. I am not sure which case to start out with. I like to have options on different styles and protection. It just brings me to the question...How often do you guys swap out your cases? How many cases do you own at once?

I used to select one case from the Apple Store and have been quite happy with it so I never look for another one. I've bought Apple cases and Tech21, cases that I can wash with soap and water if need be. Seems like Tech21 for the past couple years are no longer partners with Apple as many Apple Stores don't carry Tech21. Last year I was thinking about getting the Apple leather. This year I have the RhinoShield CrashGuard NX (bumper case). It's good, but kind of thick and slick, perhaps slicker than a naked iPhone. Also, the thickness makes the phone extra wide and more difficult to hold, and the plastic is not grippy. I've read it's grippier this year so I can't imagine how slick it was last year. I also got a leather sleeve this year because I realize I do like using a naked phone. The sleeve prevents the phone from easily sliding out my pocket when sitting down and standing up, plus gives it extra protection if it did slide out.

Slightly off-topic question: Why do some mens pants, like dress pants, chinos, and khakis, have side opening front pockets where things can easily fall out of the pockets? Top opening front pockets are much better for holding in items. Side opening pockets considered better looking??

Right now I only have 3 cases. Apple silicone and leather as my true everyday cases and a Speck Presidio Grip for when I feel I might need the extra drop protection. Usually I will swap around every couple of days or so depending on my mood. Right now I’ll probably keep the Apple leather case on for two weeks to get the leather broken in.

I used to get loads of cases but now I just have 2-3. I really only change them out when I'm getting bored with one. So maybe I'll change it every 6 months. I got my third case for my 11 Pro Max because I decided I wasn't upgrading this year. Got a black tinted clear case with silver sparkles because I felt like being blingy.

I will have about 3 to 4 cases for my max, I will change about one every month, or until I get tried of a case/color

I only have 2 cases so far for my 12 Pro Max. A Ranvoo clear case and a Pink Citrus Apple Silicon case. I will be buying 2-3 more cases. I usually change them when I get tired of a color or when I’m going somewhere that I will need more protection. I used to like thick cases, but now I only like thin cases.

A lot... Well, this was when outside was open to the public. 🤧 use to coordinate w/ the outfit of the day. Don’t have those problems anymore. 😅

I used to switch around a bit. Then, with my 11 Pro, although I bought several cases, I found my self switching between the Nomad and the apple leather. Ultimately, while I liked the protection that the Nomad gave me, I didn’t love the bulk of the case. I found myself using the apple case a lot more.

For my 12 pro, I started with a cheap silicone case from Amazon until the apple leather came out. I will probably stick to the apple leather as my only case. Don’t think I’ll even order a Nomad case this time.

Same here. I have both the Apple saddle brown for the 12 and a Nomad in the new natural leather. I’ve swapped between the two almost on an hourly basis. I have no will power when it comes to these two cases so I’ll continue to torture myself and swap as often as possible during the day.

I found using a three case system works best for me. Its been a leather case, a Minimal-thin type case, and then a case with some drop protection, usually a Caudabe.

I use the leather case most of the time, minimal case if I want to switch it up and have thinner profile and then the Caudabe for work/gym or any other time I think a case with some drop protection might help (ie my phone having to be in my hands more than usual)

I used to buy a lot but it just seems like a waste of money and I usually only rotate 2-3 on the regular With my last two phones. I stick with a apple silicone and leather. Right now, only sticking with an apple silicone as I don’t feel the need to buy a leather one right now. Maybe I’ll get lucky and only use just one this time around!

I’ve never been one for loads of cases.
Over the past 2 years I’ve had:
Honor 7a with no case
BlackBerry keyone with no case
iPhone SE (original) no case
iPhone XR clear case and moved to a red leather when I found a good one
iPhone 12 Pro clear case until the Apple leather came out and switched it for a California poppy.

I tend to damage the back of devices more than the front, replacing a glass iPhone back is expensive. Hence the reason for cases now after going naked on most of my phones.
