I buy a new notebook every 2 years. I used to by PC but, since I bought my first mac (iBook G4) I think it will be a long time before I switch.

Cheers.

Early Summer 2007: powermac G3 (did a case mod)

Late Summer 2007: MacBook Pro Glossy

7th-8th grade: Compaq Presario laptop (first computer)
9th grade: HP desktop

I hope I dont have to buy another computer for 10 years. I want to say I've only had 6 computer in 30 years. lol

September 2006: Bought my first Mac, a 20" Core 2 Duo iMac.

February 2007: Bought my second Mac, a Core Duo BlackBook (refurb)

May 2007: Received a 15" PowerBook G4 from work.

August 2007: Work replaced PowerBook with MacBook Pro Core Duo; I replace my white iMac with a Core 2 Duo Aluminum iMac (third personal Mac purchase)

November 2007: Work replaced buggy MBP Core Duo with MBP Core 2 Duo. Also bought an AppleTV, which is sort of a Mac.

So..I've bought three personal machines in 12 months, and had three work machines in 6 months.

I'm still on my first Mac purchased in July of 2004. Bought one for my wife a year later and she's still on her first Mac too. Although I'm itching to get a new one, I'll probably hold off for a while. My 12" PB still does all I need, albeit a little slower than i would like
