95 percent of the time my iPhone gets plugged into my computer. It works out the best that way for me.

I've plugged my iPhone into my computer probably 2-3 times since I got my 4S about a year and a half ago.

I've started plugging in for updates since I get a fresh copy of iOS not just a patch. App updating I do via wifi, generally because the App Store is to slow on 3G.

I liked to keep it synced to my computer for backups and I do not trust iCloud not to be completely useless, the backup on my computer does a much better job. The wall charger is used the most, 90% of the time or more when just charging.

Never use iTunes for charging -- only for IOS updates and backups (WiFi just takes too long with the amount of stuff that I have).

Some say if you charge your phone via the wall outlet the battery drains faster.
Fact or fiction ?
I myself find it hard to belive.
Always consider the source. One has nothing to do with the other.
