iOS How often does the Game Center leaderboard update?

My first app with leaderboard just released. People are telling me that they see themselves being logged into Game Center when they open the app and in the trials, my score was added to the leaderboard..

..however when I look, I do not see anyone's score.

Does the leaderboard only update once a day? or could there be an error on my end

Yes and I think I jumped the gun here...as I see a user who is on the leaderboard about an hour or 2 after they played.
