Just curious about longevity. My 15 inch is sitting at ~55 months (late 2006) and still going relatively strong. No issues, other than replacing the battery and being a little outdated.

Been thinking about upgrading to the new 2011... or mayhaps waiting for ivy bridge.

Mine is 2.6 years old. Running strong as ever even though I just bought an iMac.

I replaced my Late 2006 with the 2011 model a couple of months ago. As far as I'm aware, the 2006 is still chugging along for its new owner :)

13 months and still going strong, rendering HD content right now!

edit: MBP 13' Mid-2010 2.4 GHZ, 8GB RAM

So, I have a brand new 13" just arrived today. I just found the 13" some much nicer to carry around with me.

62 months! Do I win? :p

In all seriousness though, I plan on buying a new MBP after Lion comes out.

Well, I just got mine 3 days ago but its a late 2008 unibody 15 inch Pro.

Couldnt pass it up for $500. Looks brand new and came with everything including the original box. It was babied by my friend and almost never taken off his desk. :)

Loving it. First mac and now I know why people swear by their build quality. Itll hold me over until the supposed design revamp lol.

I have a 15" 2.66GHz C2D MBP mid-2009 - so 2 years old. I'm going to combine it with an external monitor so it can replace my 2008 iMac - which seems to be running a lot slower now days!

I have also got the 2011 13" MBP - 2 months old. Love the portability and the 8GB RAM and Vertex 3 SSD make it a joy to use :)

2007 and 2009 17" MBPs both still in perfect operating condition. My next MBP won't be until 2012, unless Apple decides to go the ARM route way early (unlikely). :)

Early 2009 uMB 2.4 with 4GB/500GB and it works perfect like the day I purchased it, with 486 charge cycles on the original battery, I still get close to 4 hours with minimal use. I am looking at getting the new 13" MBP with the i5 2.3 though, as I would like a little more Power to Encode adn Decode video, although the C2D works fine for me. Also gaining the SD slot and FW800 port are good as well and not sure if I will ever use the TB port.
