Early 2006

Over five years with my early 2006 MBP 15" but it's starting to have video issues. Like MacSavvyTech, after Lion comes out, planning on buying either the new MBA 13" Ultimate or another MBP 15". My current MBP will be reformatted, have Snow Leopard reloaded and plan on using it as a media server to stream my iTunes and EyeTV recordings.

Mine is around 7 1/2 months old.
My battery health is dipping quite fast, down to 88%(although i tend to use my mac more on battery nowadays) :apple:

Early 2008 model.

I really want to upgrade asap, just need the funds. ;)

My MBP still works, just feels sluggish. I have read that replacing the early 2008 MBP for an SSD is more of a pain. Not sure if that's really true though. Stopped me from looking at it as an option though to get some new life out of my laptop. I have the max ram already.

G'day,

My first MBP is a mid '09 2.26ghz model and I recently upgraded it with a Seagate Momentous XT 500Gb SSD Hybrid and whacked in 8G of RAM. It's running like a dream and I thought it would stop me buying a new MBP...Wrong! Just bought a new 2011 15" MBP and I am loving it...and the old one too.

Cheers
