    I thought this was a fascinating article on how "open" Android really is and Googles strategies in decoupling their services. I always thought Google was doing it to get rid of the carriers and to alleviate fragmentation, which I'm sure plays a part but not as big as I thought.

    Anyway I thought it was an interesting article for discussion, flaming, trolling, complaining, etc whatever else we like to do on these forums. :eek:

    I read that yesterday and thought it was pretty interesting. Google is definitely protecting their interests.

    Interesting article. Android is the genie that Google is trying to bottle.
