how/or can i - create virtual, custom buttons on mac desktop for home automation

hello,

im trying to search and seek out the web for some software if it exists, that lets you create shortcuts, virtual buttons to control home automation ? ive seen something called 'flic' but that needs a physical button,

i was just looking for a link or button, or something to sit in the toolbar, so i create either with ifttt, SmartHome, lifx, some buttons to control my already existing home setup ?

thanks in advance if anyone knows of anything,
