I just read in the Apple Insider review that pushing the power button on the new MBPs no longer offers to shut down, restart, or sleep the MBP. Maybe I missed it in the (long) review, but does holding the power button on these new MBPs also no longer result in a hard shutdown — which I occasionally need to do on my current 2012 MBP — or does that functionality remain? Thanks.

When I was using migration assistant to transfer my data over from my 2008 MBP, it froze. I can verify that holding down the power button WILL do a hard shutdown.

OK. Thanks very much. This isn't a functionality I hope to use very much, but I figured I'd ask in advance.
