Love my i9, its a beast!
Had none of the audio/kernel panic and other issues.

Oh, and i love Mojave (Dark Mode) / Space Gray MBP combo.

nothing but trouble, freezes, spontaneous logouts, audio glitches and incessant fan noise. can't handle the kb / touchbar. went all in financially and i really regret it. spent the whole day upgrading to mojave and then downgrading straight back because the editor software i wrote to build a videogame no longer work on mojave, and can't be updated (the software it was built in is no longer updated) ... so back stuck with high sierra, fan noise, and regular freezes.

That sounds like you should return it as they have a 14 day return window.

So, I've been using my computer for a week now, both at work and home. Not a single issue. I still like it.

Love mine, but to be honest I have been quite lucky over the years considering how many I go through. Love both my 13 and 15. Not had issues yet, love the speakers on mine an date True Tone display.

No problems worth mentioning. Had...2 KPs, I think, but none after Mojave upgrade IIRC.

For me, this is a wicked awesome laptop, way better than my early 2011 13" MBP in every single way, even when compared to when I just got it. I read the forums, peoples' issues with KPs and keyboards and whatnot, still ordered mine and waited painfully for over three weeks for it to arrive. I have mine hooked up to my old thunderbolt display and it's just great. One small issue is I don't get good wifi speed anymore. When laptop was new it would connect to my home wifi (old-style flat time capsule) and give >150Mbits/s, but now I get like only a third of that, maybe a little more. Not sure why, I've restarted it, cycled wifi on/off, switched back and forth between my 2.4GHz and 5GHz networks, moved it around my desk a bit and nothing makes a difference. Nothing's changed in any substantial way here at home from when my macbook was brand new so it should still give the same performance. Oh well.

Not that it really matters though, I don't use it (much) when at home, it's mostly my on-the-move device. Maybe it's my time capsule just getting cranky after over seven years of constant operation. I've been wanting to replace it with a more modern router for a while now. Next year probably, when the next gen of routers with improved speed and security come out.

WiFi is a tricky beast. It is very annoying at times. I would take a look at what your RF spectrum looks like. Nothing may have changed on your end, but maybe a neighbor has added a new access point on your frequency and is drowning you out.

Yeah, that's a good tip. If this is the case then the bastard is bittorrenting CONSTANTLY though, because it's the same day and night every single day. :D

You know of a good channel monitoring tool perhaps? (I'd prefer free lol, because I'm not made of money...)

Wish wifi had incorporated automatic channel hopping from the start. IIRC, some newer flavor can actually do that, if they detect there's crowding on some channels but not on others. Don't remember which though. Also, you need to replace all your devices to gain support for it too... Meh!

1.yes, i returned my first 15'' because of the weird popping sounds from the hinges(i guess) from time to time,
and also the left type-c are not working.
2. i guess yes
