How protective are you with your Apple Watch?

I have OCD and every kind of syndrome you can think of so I've never taken it out of the box. I'm afraid that dust will scratch it and the battery health will decline and the band will fray. In fact the box now has a slight smudge on one corner of the bottom so it looks like I'll be returning it. Does anyone know where I can buy a fitted box protector?

Ultra with Space Black Link Bracelet. I ALWAYS have a sweatband in my pocket and put it on over the watch whenever I use my home gym, gardening, D.I.Y, etc. Even cooking.

May be overkill but it's a simple way to help keep it pristine and it soon becomes second nature whenever I do any of those activities.
I really like the sweatband idea, brilliant even 👍

I just get on with life in the same way as any other watch.
My S5 had been dropped, kept on my wrist while working on engines or under cars. Had it for 3 years and I think it still looked pretty good for an aluminium model.

I’m pretty careful with mine and in some cases do take off the watch before I do certain activities such as say moving a book shelf from one room down the hall to another room.

The Apple Ultra is not a cheap watch and while it is “only a watch” it is also an aesthetic device for me. It’s not “just” an instrument without aesthetic value. But, I don’t totally baby it. I just make sure I don’t get dings and scratches on it as much as possible. There have been a few times when a ring might have accidentally hit it, like when my partner reaches over or my ring hits his watch when I reach over.

I just use the watch and dont worry about it. That is also one of the reasons I went with SS model. My wife and I had aluminum versions for our first AW (S1) and while I didn't like it at all and returned it, her watch after just few months looked like crap. Since we switched to SS, the watches look brand new even after years of use/abuse.

Got the SE for free with a promotion/deal (ended up with two $150 gift cards for free). I had an Ultra when it first came out, but it ended up being comically big on my wrist and I like the SE better knowing a replacement won't be a grand. Even the cheapest SE is sturdy enough to last a couple of years, the battery too. If my SE fails a couple years down the road or I accidentally damage it myself, then so be it. I'll just replace it with another SE no questions asked.
