How quickly does Apple replace a battery under the out-of-warranty battery service scheme?

I think I probably need to have the battery changed on my venerable series 0 but I have a 520 day move streak to maintain. Do UK Apple Stores do a same day service?

I did replace my xs max battery 2 weeks ago in apple store germany. Took 1 hour and costs me 67€
Another story:
Got the battery replaced and went home. At home i just realized the rear camera glass has a small crack. I emailed the apple store and they told me to make the appointment for genius bar. Turns out it was apple genius mistake (since he didn’t write the condition down on the reparation note). I got a new xs max since they can’t replace the glass only.

Ask Apple. In worst case you can manually add data in the health app to avoid breaking your streak.

They don't do Watch battery replacements at the stores - the stores have to send the watch to a repair facility. The alternative is to setup a mail-in repair over the phone/chat or via the Apple website.

You can. But stand hours are tricky, because you can't directly enter them, but every hour with an activity count, so you can span one long activity.
