Brought it in for a bad pixel. Replaced top case.
Apparently upon post diag run, it was showing as failing touch sensor (it has worked fine for me ).
It's the MBP 16 with less than 2 hrs of use on it in total. Due to WFH....pretty much been glued to the desk setup.

Anyhow, new logic board + fan on order @ local Genius bar to add to th repair tally.
Costwise, it's almost like a new laptop on the repair......
Kinda surprised given it's -usage- cycle on this particular notebook

for me it is still reliable. Heat is not problem for me as many are blaming this laptop for that. i work in electronic bussiness with chips, its normal that they heat, they are designed for this...

The 16" 2.4 8core, 64gb of ram and 5600M graphics has been the best Mac I've owned in over two decades. So far after nearly a year, no problems at all. I absolutely love my machine and will hopefully squeeze as much life out of it as Apple will allow me after the transition.

Rock solid - going to stick with it for as long as possible. Photography my main creative use so don’t envisage any issues that will have me looking to get an ‘M’ machine. Bought in April last year through the UK EduStore so has a 4 year warranty. Runs all my educational software smoothly through Parallels too.

For me apart the external monitor issue(gets hot due to radeon AMD bug). Its been great

The first unit has a charging issue and showed only the "Empty Battery" logo on the screen when I tried to start it.

The same day I received a second unit as a replacement - works just perfect about 8 months as a daily driver. No coil whine, or any other issues. Hope this state will continue further on.
