how save text messages? syphone doesn't seem to work

I used to use syphone to save text messages,

but it doesn't seem to work right now.

I want to update from this archaic 1.1.4 JB / UL

what can I use to save text messages???

SSH into this directory: /var/root/Library/SMS

Then save the sms.db file.

I'm not sure what programs can read that file, try notepad or something?
