How scratch resistant are the new MBP's? Also.. palm rests?

How durable is the aluminum in terms of scratching.. and also, will the palm rests wear down over time, leaving those ugly faded blotches?

Yes and yes. No matter how much you baby your MB, scratches are inevitable. The palm rest will def. show sign over time but get yourself a palmguard. Problem solved! I'm using the Moshi palmguard right now. 🙂
