Assuming they can't stick the next generation keyboard into the MacBook because of compatibility issues.
 
They’ll handle it the same way as they handle failed GPUs... Keep replacing until the clock runs out. It’s happened already to my 2012 and 2010 MBP 15’s with GPUs.... The machines were perfect otherwise. Apple likes to engineer achille’s heels into their products for some weird reason lol.

That's exactly what they did with the 2011 MBP, that model had a repair program with a defective GPU. Instead of engineering a solution, they just kept "repairing" the laptop with the same defective design for years. Many 2011 owners sent their laptops in numerous times.
