How similar is the MBP 14 with base M3 to the M3 Pro/Max version?

The MBP 13 was basically a MBA with a fan… Screen, speakers, battery, etc. were all worse than the 14.

Is this now rectified with the move to the 14” shell, and everything is the same except the CPU (and things directly dependent on the CPU, like external monitor support)? Or are there still significant differences?

1 fan in the base MacBookPro, dual fans in the MacBook Pro with Pro and Max chips
