iPod touch How soon can i get it?

I noticed Apple's website says 7-10 days, but the rumor mill is saying weeks. I have been to the Apple store three times trying to get one, no love. They always say they just sold the last one, keep trying. Anyway, just wanted to solicit some opinions. If im going to have to wait for weeks ordering, ill just keep hitting the store. THanks fellas...

Well my Touch that was ordered back on the 13th of September and has had its delivery date pushed, back and back and even further back I’m now on an expected delivery date of the 13th-14th of October which will put me at a month from when i placed my order, so you might be hearing right when people have said weeks, or even if its not weeks I doubt it would arrive inside the time apples site states!

Thanks for the reply. Thats exactly the kind of info i was looking for. Ill just keep hitting the store randomly. It gives me an excuse to go play with all the toys in there anyway.
