Im tethered on 4.2.1 on a iPhone 4, been about a month, running flawless. had to reboot once I think when installing MyWi, Used to worry i'd crash at work or something and be out a phone all day, but its been perfect... almost forgot I was tethered...Like its been said here before, dont Reboot - Power Off - or run out of Battery unless you have a computer and cable near by..

Its stable but the springboard takes a longer time to restart as well as boot up.

hey

well, today i helped my friend jailbreak his iPod 4G 4.2.1, he's sort of my Guinea pig. Everything went fine.

Just one question, when we got to the 'Installing Bundles' part, with the picture of the pineapple running, it took a long time to 'Move Applications', is this due to the applications he had on his iPod, or does that indicate a problem?

Sorry for the spamming, i just need to be sure before i do it, that's all.

Ok, so i jailbroke my iPhone, rebooted it (through redsn0w) to get Cydia to work.

Installed SBsettings and Activator.

Went to reboot (again through redsn0w) to implement the changes, but everytime i went about putting my iPhone in DFU, redsn0w reported an error, and my iPhone was stuck in DFU.

Managed to kick it out of DFU and restore with iTunes.

Anyone have any ideas as to why this happened, and how to prevent it new time i jailbreak?

redsn0w 0.9.7b6, iOS 4.2.1
Followed the on screen instructions, power down, DFU etc

Find yourself a step by step guide, and follow it exactly as shown. Make sure it is untethered method.

I don't have the SSH Blobs from 4.2(?) so I can't untether, I followed the instructions exactly, the process had work before for me. Just not sure what went wrong this time.
