Not being OCD, just curious as i have a silver iPad and have had a few color variations since they came out, I was curious how strong the aluminum finish is, for instance I got a new iPP and the back came with some of marks (not scratches just strange marks like it had tape on it for moths then removed,) I used one of those Black Zagg microfiber cloths with water to clean it the best I could, (rubbing it quite a lot, but one mark is there ever so slightly.) Is the aluminum strong enough for me to have rubbed it a bit to remove the strange manufacturing marks?
Just curious if I need to worry about wearing off the silver color, and if I should only use those fluffy microfiber cloths when cleaning the iPad.
Danke.

From my understanding, the pigments are built into the aluminum alloy, so it's not possible to rub any color off. I regularly clean the front and back of my iPads and iPhones and have never had cosmetic issues.
