I take a lot of pictures with my iPhone 6 and I also use a mac. I often connect my iphone to it in order to sync of all them on my Mac.

I don't know if I should use the new iOs 8.1 photos feature because I'm not sure the pictures will have the same resolution than the original one on my iPhone.
Plus I realized that when iTunes sync my iPhone it deletes the old pictures from my iPhone and add them as "events on my mac". The new pictures there are smaller in order to take the least storage possible on my iPhone. But if I want to stream my iphone to a 127cm TV using apple TV the quality will be degraded isn't it ?

If I use the streaming feature of iOS 8.1 will the Apple TV go directly to my Mac/Cloud to take the original picture or will it use the picture downscaled on my iPhone ?

    Thanks
