How to access Time Capsule outside home network?

    Is it possible to access my time capsule / airport extreme hard drive away from home? Like when Im at work?

    I do have a mobileme account, but cannot figure this out. Thanks

    Assuming your already updated to the latest firmware, you just put your MobileMe log in into the log in page and it should show up in you Networks.

    that looks like its for back 2 my mac.

    Im trying to access the hard drive when Im away from home, but not with another Mac. I want to access the files with a PC. Is this possible?

    If Time Capsule doesn't have a particular feature to do what you want, you could set up an FTP server on one of your home machines and make files on the Time Capsule available through that server. The only problem with that is you would need to have the machine running all the time.

    Wouldn't TC act similar to a NAS drive? You'd have to have a static IP for one and then point to that. That's what I was told when I asked the same question but relating to a NAS drive.
