I recently switched bought a new MBA and expected Truecrypt and NTFS to "just work", like they do in Linux for quite some years. I was very surprised by the amount of manual work, just to get NTFS write support working. Here's what I did. 1. Installed http://www.truecrypt.org/downloads 2. Installed http://www.tuxera.com/mac/macfuse-core-10.5-2.1.9.dmg Then I was able to read NTFS partitions, but I couldn't write them, since Lion doesen't support this. I spent quite a few hours reseaching until I installed NTFS-3G: 3. Installed http://macntfs-3g.blogspot.com/2010/10/ntfs-3g-for-mac-os-x-2010102.html Now I can write to NTFS partitions, although I get the 15 sec error message and it's very slow (about 10 MB/sec). But truecrypt cannot open NTFS partition anymore. What else can I do?
