I’m trying to activate my iPad Air via the eSIM on Verizon. So far no luck. Their system is demanding an ICCID, which I don’t have. The reps don’t seem to even understand what an eSIM is. Has anyone been successful in accomplishing this? I’m really just trying to avoid going to get a SIM card and deal with the store reps, and it seems like this should be simple.

So as a follow up to this, after several hours of chatting with Support and several phone calls, they had to send me a SIM card. Literally no one could make any of the iPhone procedures work for the iPad.

Even worse, I had to wait for the SIM to be shipped. The activation fee is only $20 if you do it online, but if I went to the store they would have charged me $40 and despite all that headache, they wouldn’t waive any of it.

Either way, I figured it was important to come back and update that apparently Verizon isn’t able to use the eSIM in iPads. Or, if they are able, no one knows how (which is more probable honestly).
