Few months ago I posted here asking how to import photos to Photos app without having it upload to iCloud Photo Library (iPL).
Well, now that Apple has reduced the prices for iCloud storage, I am thinking of upgrading my storage plan so that I can have all of my photos on all of my devices. I opened the Photos app and tried to add the previously imported photos (which weren't uploaded to iPL) to iPL. But I couldn't find any option to do so. There is no way to even tell which photos are local and which are in iPL.
Is there a way to upload everything to iPL without having to re-import all the photos?
The brute force solution I can think of is:
1. Turn of iPL on the Mac.
2. Empty the Photos app
3. Re-enable iPL so that the photos on my iPhone and iPad get populated here.
4. Re-import all the other photos
I want to do better than this solution.
Edit: Got it. Just had to select all the photos and select "Consolidate..." from File menu.
