how to add video the imovie comic book

im kinda new to imovie and all the ilife apps, and i was wondering how to add video the the little picture slot at the beginning of a movie, to that comic book theme, if anyone knows what im talking about hahah. And im also looking for a site that has walkthroughs for like imovie and final cut for people who arnt beginners, but arnt advanced. thanks
