How to add .wmv files to iMovie

I'm a newbie to iMovie and cant seem to drag various .wmv files to it, so that I can merge them together to play as one movie. Any way to accomplish this? Thanks!

I think you need to convert the vids into a different format. iMovie is very picky when it comes to importing videos from your hard drive.

So flip4mac studio will convert to mov file? how about mp4? Are there any other option, or is this the most recommended one? I noticed it's not supported with Snow Leopard.

The flip4mac studio plugin will add the ability to use/import/export WMV files in QuickTime Pro.
