I have a couple of AirPort Expresses that I have hooked to stereos. I Airplay from iTunes and from my iPhone and iPad to them. However when I try to play a YouTube in Safari I only can see my Apple TV to AirPlay to. How do I get my Expresses to show up in Safari/YouTube AirPlay?

I believe it is a case of the AppleTV supporting both video and audio and so it will accept YouTube. In iTunes play a video, and see if it will show the Express as an Airplay target.

Yes in iTunes it allows the audio to AirPlay to my Express and play the video on my Mac.

EDIT: I see it grays out the video in the screen shot even though it was just a small section.:D

Julien,

I use Airfoil for mac.

https://rogueamoeba.com/airfoil/mac/

It allows me to stream any audio on my mac, including Safari and YouTube audio to my airport express, apple tv, etc.

Free trial download, $29.00 to purchase. Works great!

Found a workaround. You can go into Settings>Sound>Output and set to an AirPlay device (like Home Theater in my example). Only caveat is if in iTunes you decide to select multiple AirPlay outputs the Settings then reverts back to internal speakers.
