Your photos are potato quality but is it safe to assume it's bent facing downward like in DSC00123? If you pull it towards you, does it move back down? If so, it was possibly already like this or damaged in transit. I've seen this more often with the iMac where something in the hinge snaps. These are pretty easy to open if you want to attempt opening it, removing the hinge, and reinstalling it.

They ok to me I know is cluttered here. That sounds like a big deal opening the display up ;)
I can,t do all that. I will have to send it back he did,t have the original box, he put it in at an angle.

On slim imacs I know that the hinge "mechanism" has small plastic tabs that hold the springs and the usually break.

so looks like they did not use the original box to ship this, and probably had too much weight on the arm/stand.

I'd ask for a return or some sort of $$ back so you can do one of the following:
buy a replacement arm for these or get a VESA mount and articulating arm.

You can try placing the display face down on a cloth, and using a thin plastic card (old gift card or credit card) and slide between top of the stand and the stand access point, gently push the stand down and raise it all the way up with the card in place and as you raise the stand up pull the card out and you may hear a click. this should put it back in place. otherwise the shipping did damage the internal mount.

No original box, this was the box he sent it in a tv box I think. I did that the box is to small.I did that no good.

Are my photos potato quality had to reduce the size to get them on here.:rolleyes:I phoned up a Apple repair place i use. and i gave all the details i told on here and he said it would be around 200 pounds. to fix it.I did that to see if the seller would come to a deal i can,t see him agreeing to that it isn,t worth that anyway.Should i get back to the seller,or wait for egay to get in touvh with him?The Apple repair place said he got one sale for 350 with a box i did not try to knock him down on the price ,i said i would get back to jim.

when you tilt the display or the stand is it stiff or is does it actually move?

if its stiff, try placing the access card in between the stand and the access point and push firm until the stand moves. this should help try to lock it in place.

if its just moving around as-is the hinge inside is definitely broken.
