I have an iMac and a second monitor. My PS3 is plugged into the second monitor. Is there a way I can have audio come from both the iMac headphone jack and the second monitor jack? Otherwise I have to unplug the stereo and plug it into the other monitor when I want to switch from gaming to working, and it's impossible to have both audio outputs at the same time (if I wanted to listen to music from the imac while still hearing a bit of sound from a game for example).

Does anyone know a solution? My research so far hasn't yielded any results. Thanks in advance.

Don't think so. If I understand correctly when the PS3 is using the monitor it's just as a monitor. The mac has no live connection with it at that point.

What you need to do is route the mac audio and PS3 audio into a device that can split the sound. A simple mini stereo Y splitter in the easiest case. It just depends what the hard wired connections are. A PS3 can output audio in various ways, so can a Mac.
