Hi!

I got into my first problem on OS X now, it's probably something very easy that I have missed but anyway.
I want to assign XCode to open files with the file endings .cs, .gui and .mis.
So I right clicked on a such file and choose open with then I selected XCode and clicked the "Always Open With" option. And it works fine with THAT file only but I want all files with the same file ending to be opened with XCode.

How can I do that?

Thanks for any help

Get Info for the file. Use the open with drop down menu to select the app (xcode). Underneath is a change all button which will change all the apps with that extension to open with xcode.

Do the same with the other filetypes.

yeah, it will work for a while... and then when you do something like save a JPG with Photoshop, that JPG will have a Photoshop icon. double-click on it, and it will open with Photoshop, not Preview or iView or whatever app you just told the OS to open all JPGs with. it drives me crazy.

Some apps will capture any file that you so much as open in them. Go through the preferences in Photoshop to see if you can disable this "feature."
