Hi,

I have one Time Capsule at home and one Time Capsule at work. I use both for backup of my laptop, but I have to manually switch target disk in Time Machine every time I change location.

Is there a way to automatically set the target disk in Time Machine based on for instance which WLAN I am connected to?

I see that similar questions on the forum have remained largely unanswered, e.g. https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/720456/.

Thanks in advance.

there may be a free way to do it but this software should do it:

http://centrix.ca/NetworkLocation/

I have not used it but I remember reading about it in MacWorld at some point.

EDIT:

Under the FAQ it shows:

Q I'd like to control MobileMe and TimeMachine using NetworkLocation.
A That's not a question, now is it? Unfortunately, we have yet to find any way of controlling these things. We hope that future versions of OS X will allow us to make changes to their configurations.

Thanks a lot.

You are obviously better at searching than I am, as I could find nothing.

Solved.
