How to backup App data?

I would like to restore my iPhone but I'm not sure whether it will wipe all the data within the apps?

I currently sync my iPhone with my macbook including the apps, will that backup the app and app data?

I'm afraid it's not possible. When I had to restore my iPhone, I lost all my data in my games - i. e. Rolando, I had to play it all over again...

But I might be mistaken also 😉

Yes it will backup all the data in the apps as well. Some saved games will be loss depends on which game app.

RED is right, you can't backup that data. Hopefully we'll see that in 3.0

It depends on the app. Some apps have the ability to export data. But most dont. So, you have to do a manual backup or get it wiped out.
