how to best take care of your mbp 2012 battery

Hi,
Recently I bought the MBP 13" 2012 and im confused what to do is it either leave it plugged in or use the battery until it gets down to like 40% or so

It's a good idea to "Exercise " your battery allowing it to drain down from time to time:
