How to Block Ads on webpages?

There are some websites, where there are ads. when ever i click on the webpage. the ad(video) plays. is there any way in MAC we can stop it. I use Chrome..PLease suggest

Ever hear of ad-blockers? Google it.

I use ad-block for Chrome. It doesn't get rid of everything, but it gets rid of most of them. Go to the google chrome apps.

Ad Blocker Plus is available for Safari, Chrome, and Firefox. I have it installed for both Safari, and Firefox, and find I would never go without it.
